Quirky things likes this makes me love working at Red Tettemer even more. Honestly, I think this is really one of my favorite homepage photographs. So memo to the actual 1960s, eat your heart out.
Side note:
You know you've become a cult classic once you're totally emulated beyond belief. I applaud AMC with their Mad Men series. Like the television show Friends, African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans & Asian-Americans did not exist until the 1980s. It was only when the 10th chromosome started to deform due to the popularization of moms free-basing radiation and dads sticking their penises in radioactive sludge lube that caucasian babies began to mutate into these racial subgroups. These subgroups were reminiscent of the mutants from the X-Men series but with 30% less social stigma attached and no superpower unless you count the race card.
Thanks for keeping it real, it means a lot to me.

Factual note:
The Washington Post did a similar shoot that was not true to reality back in the 1960s. You would have never seen an African-American in such any position working side-by-side with a bunch of white fe/males. The Washington Post should fire their fact checker/photography producer. At the very least pay for a few classes in American History at the local learning annex.
Technical Note:
The Washington Post should perhaps invest in something more than a cheap digital camera that was on clearance at CompUSA. My grandma has a better camera than that.
